Henrietta Kamminga, age 89, of Kentwood, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 16, 2019. Henrietta was dedicated to serving her God and family. The family of eight knew her to be innovative, tireless, full of strength and very gracious. Such a beautiful legacy not many can claim of a mother who gave her all for her family with creativity, godliness, love, and devotion. It is a rare and wonderful thing to have been raised by such a caring unselfish Christ honoring woman. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Bernard; their children, Cheryl Kamminga, Beth and Gerald Kuiper, Bernard Kamminga, Valerie and Dan Cleveland, Laura Lubbers, David and Dawn Kamminga; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Bill Den Besten; many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, October 23 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, with Rev. Jacob Maatman officiating.  Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home from 10-11 am Wednesday prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Adams Christian School.
