Helen V. Zylstra

Helen V. Zylstra, age 98, of Allendale, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 17, 2016.  “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine” Isaiah 43:1. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who always put others before herself. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Harold “Bob” Zylstra; and her son, Sandy Zylstra. She will be lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Kathy Zylstra; her grandchildren, Scott and Holly Zylstra, Laura Zylstra, Jason and Becky Humes, Kristy and Kevin Bowen; great-grandchildren, Sadie, and Zachary; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 21, at 2pm at First Allendale Christian Reformed Church, 5734 Country View Drive, Allendale, with Rev. Tim Howerzyl officiating.  Interment Allendale Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday from 1-2pm prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Holland.
