Helen Spaanstra

Helen Spaanstra, born 1919, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 15, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Spaanstra (1915 - 2003); and son-in-law, Glenn VerHulst (1939-2004). She is survived by her daughters, Judith VerHulst, Jean Grevengoed, Ellyn (Steve) Draft; and many, many grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff at Samaritas and Hospice of Michigan for their tender care of their Mom. A private family service will be held at a later date. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park.

Our thoughts and prayers to all of Helen's family. She was a sweet lady that we enjoyed visiting with by mom, Gert Winkel, at the Woods. They often sat together for meals and Diane and I got to talk with her. She also was Aunt Helene's twin sister so there was a family connection for us as well as the twin factor.
