Helen Robinson

Helen Robinson, aged 97. Helen was called home by her savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, August 20, 2020. Helen was born to Adeline & Peter Creighton on November 6, 1922, in Portland, Michigan. She grew up with two brothers and went to a one room schoolhouse. She met Alfred (known as Henry to his friends) Robinson and fell in love. They married on November 15, 1945, and moved to Kentwood, Michigan. They had three children. Helen is best known for her love of family, gardening, the Detroit Tigers, and her faith. She loved helping other people. Helen attended Community Christian Reformed Church for over 60 years. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, her daughter-in-law, and her husband (in 1991). She is survived by her children: Joyce (Jim) Dunn of WV, Jerry Robinson, Rick Robinson and special daughter-in-law Diane (Tom) Arlington, Nine grandchildren: Jimmy (Cynthia) Dunn of WV, Mary (Duane) Taylor of WV, Faith (James) Workman of WV, Sam Dunn of WV, Joni (Torey) Fenn, Teri Drew, Heidi (Ryan) Shepard, Amanda Robinson, Jeri Leigh Levering, Ten great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. A  Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Community Christian Reformed Church, 150 Burt Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49548.  Helen’s family will greet visitors from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church.
