RANTA HELEN Helen M. Ranta, aged 77 of Kentwood passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 and went to be with her Lord.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ranta.  She is survived by her children, Susan Ranta of Los Angeles, CA, Robert Ranta of Kentwood, Katherine and Christopher Kaminski of Goshen, KY, Donald Ranta of Kentwood; two grandchildren David Ranta and Alexander Kaminski; 2 brothers, David, and Leonard; 2 sisters, Shirley and Marlene. A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 1213 – 52nd St. SE with Fr. Godfrey Onyekwere, celebrant.  The family will receive relatives and friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to St. Mary Magdalen Church.
