Harriet E. Simons

Harriet E. Simons, aged 97 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, in 2008. Harriet proudly served our country during WWII as a member of the US Army. She will be dearly missed by her sister-in-law, Charity (Robert) Teitsma; and several nieces and nephews. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank the staff of Grand Rapids Home for Veterans for their loving care of “Grandma”.

Dear Simons family, please except my deepest condolences for the loss of your dear loved one Harriet. May Jehovah, the God of all comfort, (2Corintians 1:3,4) comfort you in your time of need. His word assures us at Isaiah 33:24 that one day there will be no more sickness and at Isaiah 25:8 and Revelation 21:4, that one day death will be no more. At John 5:28,29, Jesus himself said that there will be a resurrection of those loss in death. And Psalms 37:29 guarantees that they will live again on a cleansed earth.
