Harold William Jager

Harold William Jager, known to many as “Son”, age 87, of Hudsonville was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 26, 2016 and now joins his wife, Verna, of 54 years who preceded him in 2012.  Harold was a quiet man with a strong faith.  He was a devoted member of Bauer Christian Reformed Church where he actively served in many ways.  Harold was a long time faithful employee of Langerak Roof Systems until his retirement.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He will be lovingly remembered by his children and grandchildren, Bart and Pam Jager (Zach and his fiancée Kori, Seth, and Tara), Candi and Dave Brower (Luke, Heather, and Levi); sister, Gertrude Schimmel; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 11:00 am at Bauer Christian Reformed Church, 4958 Bauer Road, Hudsonville, with Rev. Tim Holwerda officiating.  Interment Floral View Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Drive, SW, Grandville,   49418 and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Bauer Christian Reformed Church Outreach Fund.
