I so wish I could have come to the funeral home to personally express my sympathy to you all but by the time I read the obituary, it was after visitation time. I have such wonderful and fond memories of my years of growing up in our little "Miami Ave" neighborhood where everyone knew everyone and in a age where everyone cared about everyone and which of course, includes all of you. We truly grew up in an "age of innocence" in many ways. We were so blessed to have loving, Christian parents that we could respect and be proud of. I'm forever thankful for those roots of my childhood. My heart goes out to all of you in the loss of your husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and just pray now that the very arms that welcomed him Home, will enfold all of you with peace and comfort.

I'm so sad to hear of Harold's death. He volunteered at Metro Health Hospital for a number of years. It was a privilege to have known and worked with him. I will keep Doris and her family in my thoughts and prayers.
