Harold (Hotze) Frank Punter

Surrounded by his loved ones, Harold, age 57, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Gavin James Punter. Harold is survived by his wife of 34 years, Margaret; his children and grandchildren, Kimberly and Timothy Rietman (Hudson, Hunter, and Hartley), Steven Punter and fiancée Kathryn Danielson, Bryan and Debra Punter, and other “daughters”, Rafa Panise and her fiancé, Artur Bordin (Maria Clara), Vaan Huynh, Natalie Smith, Yeon-Hee Kim; parents, Cornelis and Dora (Oedske) Punter; sisters, Theresa and Robert Ragsdale, Clara and Allen Feenstra; brothers, Kenneth and Kathleen Punter, David and Tammy Punter; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth and Mark Westrate, Dr. William M. and Karen Ten Haaf, Ellen Westrate, William L. Ten Haaf, Millie and Robert Hilliker, Shirley and Andy Wyngarden, John Ten Haaf, Butch and MaryAnne Ten Haaf, Brian and Sara Ten Haaf, Eric and Karie Ten Haaf, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Harold was born in Punxsutawney, PA on April 11, 1958. He worked on the family farm and graduated from Tri Valley High School in 1975. He married his best friend and love of his life, Margaret Ann Ten Haaf on July 19, 1980. Harold had a love for farming and was the co-owner of H&H Turkey Farm and Crockery Creek/Maple Island Turkey Farms. Harold was very active in his church, Faith United Reformed Church (West Olive, MI) and other missionary organizations. He loved the Lord with all his heart and his great faith was a testimony to all he came into contact with. Funeral services will be held on Friday 11:00 am at Fellowship Reformed Church, 6610 36^th Ave., Hudsonville, with Pastor Ed Marcusse officiating. Interment Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (corner of Avery and Scott St.) 6651 Scott St, Allendale.
