Haeng Cha Cummings

Haeng Cha Cummings, age 81, of Wyoming, was reunited with her loving husband, Charlie, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Haeng Cha was born in Yamaguchi, Japan before her family moved to Korea. There she met her beloved Charlie while he was in the service. She got to travel the world with him before they eventually settled in Wyoming, Michigan. Haeng Cha was extremely hardworking, serving multiple jobs in the food service industry to help provide for her family. She loved to tend her garden, but her true passion was cooking, especially when it was for others. Anybody who would visit could plan on not leaving on an empty stomach. Haeng Cha was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; and four siblings. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and David Allan; grandchildren, Allister and Isla; one younger sister in South Korea; sister-in-law, Kathleen Schoen; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Tuesday from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The family kindly asks that instead of flowers you donate to either the Kent County Animal Shelter or the Humane Society of West Michigan.
