Grace Brower

Grace Clara (Vander Ploeg) Brower, age 102, of Zeeland and Hudsonville, MI, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Brower; one sister; and three brothers. She is survived by her children, Robert P. and Cecelia Brower, and Alan and Leah (Brower) Lough; granddaughters, Tonya (Jeff) Kempema, and Senta (Craig) Rozegnal; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Grace was a long-time member of Zeeland First Reformed Church and later attended Crystal Creek Community Church in Grandville, Michigan. Grace was the Medical Records Director for Zeeland Community Hospital for over 20 years before she retired in 1987. In 2022, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Grace was always an avid reader and loved to host get-togethers at her home for family and friends. She was always generous with her time and created a lovely home to live in and visit. She also sewed, knitted, and when needed, accompanied music students on the piano. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Relatives and friends may meet the family starting at 1 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens in Grandville.
