Marge.... I am without words. I learned of Gord’s passing test... How can a such a vivacious, life-living, kind person be so suddenly gone? My heart goes out to you and your family. Gord is the reason we can now live on the lake. His kindness, expertise, and innovative thinking got us where we are today. We are indebted. If I can do ANYthing, I am at your disposal. My Cottage doors are open to you always. The beach waits patiently for you. With love, Therese

Dear Marge We are so sorry about the death of Gord, but we all know he is in a better place, but will miss his smiling face. As you know, he still came to Grand.Haven to have coffee with all his buddies. We truly enjoyed his fellowship on Monday’s and Wednesday’s and the monthly picnics. We will all miss him and looking forward to seeing him again some day. Dave Klaassen (for all the coffee group)

Gord was a marvelous friend... from that day many years ago that he and Marge came to look at Outdoor Resort, it was a friendship beyond measure. Gord was always available to assist, to encourage, to share with and to pray with. What a fantastic pair of neighbors he and Marge were to us. I was blessed to have Gords' counsel when Russ passed two years ago, and I hope I can be a blessing to Marge in this time of adjustment as well. God bless this precious family, always and in all ways. Prayers for Gord, Marge, and family. Margie Sleight

What a bright spot Gord was at ORPS in California. I concur with Mary Holmes. He gave the best hugs ever. Was kind and yet had a twinkle in his eye - always looking for a little fun. Mike said he was such a "nice man'. We will miss him but know where he is! Thanks for sharing a bit of your journey with us.

Gord and Marge have been part of my life for roughly 45 years. Our friendship began at Sandy Pines in what started out as "the Tennis Group"., and has continued, even though many of us no longer play tennis. Gord added life, joy, and unpredictability to our gatherings. He was 'fun". I will miss him.

I know Gordon as I winter in the same resort as he and Marge. I always looked forward to visiting w Gordy. He had a way of making whom ever he was talking to feel pretty special. He would be good for joke, or offered up sage advice. I’m going to miss both along with his big bright smile and great hugs. Rest easy my friend. 💕

We’re relative “newbies” in the Gordon fan club having just met him a little over three years ago when we moved to our condo. But in that short time, we have come to know him and enjoy his stories, friendliness and sense of humor. Whether walking around the neighborhood, enjoying our granddaughters’ volleyball games, sharing a meal or ice cream, or teasing him about his gardening, we always laughed and smiled in his presence. He will be missed. God bless you, Gord. - Sue and Doug Pretty
