Gloria Garcia

Gloria Garcia, age 77, of Ray City, Georgia and formerly of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 17, 2024. Gloria was born in Puerto Rico and came to the states with her family when she was 21 years old. She had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around with people and make them laugh. Gloria also had a talent and love for cooking and never gave up the opportunity to treat her family to a meal. More than anything in this world though, Gloria loved and cherished her family. She loved to spend time with them and it was important to her to share her love of Christ with each and every one of them. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Garcia and Victoria Gotay. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Gonzalo Maldonado; children, Eric (Samantha) Zambrana, Guillermo Zambrana, Marelin (Luis) Interiano, William (Mary) Zambrana; grandchildren, Anthony, Matthew, Isaiah, Joseph, Erric, Vanessa, Victoria, Dominic, Cassandra, Briana, Christopher, Jesile, Claudia, Jessica, Luis Jr, Javier, Xenia, Jareli, Emilio, Jonathan, Samantha, Bianca, Alexsis, William Jr.; 39 great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters; siblings-in-law, Felicita Galindez, LuzMaria Zambrana, Juanita (Juan) Romero who graciously took her in, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was forever grateful to her children’s father, Guillermo Zambrana. Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday, May 23 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, with Rev. Hilda Gonzalez officiating. Burial will be held at Rest Lawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and an hour prior to the service on Thursday from 10-11 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood.
