Glenn Charles Van Til, age 70, of Jenison, was called home to his risen Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 19, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Louise Van Til; infant brother, Riekel Van Til; brother, James Van Til; sister, Nancy Wynsma; brothers-in-law, William Haveman, Peter Wynsma and Roger Timmerman; and sisters-in-law, Virginia Van Til, Dorothy Schulting and Sheryl Nienhuis. Glenn was a devoted and deeply loved husband and father. He was a man of deep faith who lived for his family and above all to serve his Lord. He retired from Steelcase in 2007 after 27 years of dedicated service. In his retirement, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Wilma (Nienhuis) Van Til; children, Wendy (Don) Van Til and Scott (Suzette) Van Til; brothers, Clarence (Marilyn) Van Til and Jack (Lois) Van Til; sisters, Barbara Haveman and Angela (Harry) Basore; brothers-in-law, Arthur (Corrine) Nienhuis and Robert (Janice) Nienhuis; sister-in-law, Marilyn Timmerman; and many beloved nieces and nephews. A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairway Christian Reformed Church (1165 44th St., Jenison), with Pastor David Den Haan and Pastor Ed Tamminga officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Saturday, April 9, from 10 - 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Fairway Christian Reformed Church Benevolence Fund.
