Glenn A. Deckinga, age 62, of Grand Rapids,went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 9, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Annette Deckinga.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Rebecca Haven; children, Mara Deckinga, Ellen (Deckinga) and Owen Sill, Dirk Deckinga; as well as Rich Kranenberg, whom he loved like a son; brothers, Owen and Patricia Deckinga, Bruce and Joanne Deckinga, John and Nancy Deckinga, Peter and Audrey Deckinga, Mark and Susan Deckinga; and many nieces and nephews, friends and co-workers.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Hager Park Reformed Church, 2635 Bauer Rd., Jenison, with Rev. Mark Kleinheksel officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hager Park Church for the benefit of its Cadet program, which held a special place in Glenn’s heart.
