Gladys “Gladie” R. Idema

Idema, Gladys "Gladie" R. Gladys “Gladie” R. Idema, age 82, of Byron Center, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 1, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kamp and Johanna Idema; her sisters, Anna Dykstra, Jessie Moorman, Irene Idema; brothers, Neal, Lambert, Donald, Charlie, John Idema. She will be lovingly remembered by her special nephew, Ed and Linda Moorman; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday 11 am at Hanley Christian Reformed Church, O-372 Jackson, Grandville with Rev. Doug Fauble officiating. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Friday from 10-11 am prior to the service at church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hanley Christian Reformed Church Expansion Fund.

My mother worked at Earl Robinson Dept. Store with Gladie for almost 20 years. Her name Gertude "Van" Vanden Berg. Gladie always had a wonderful smile for everyone. As a young person growing up she never got up set when I need to speak to my mother about something. You indeed were blessed to have her in the family for all these years.
