Ginger Misner

Misner – Ginger Mae Misner, age 72 passed away peacefully Monday, October 26, 2020.  Ginger was a dedicated, hardworking mother. She worked for Knape & Vogt for over 30 years before retiring at the age of 67.  Ginger loved the outdoors, going for walks and playing cards with her mother. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her easy laughter and love for the Detroit Tigers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benard Misner and daughter, Melissa Misner.  Ginger is survived by her mother, Margaret Kopp, children, Mary (Jesse) Foster, Paul (John) Hammond, Elizabeth Elhart, step-children, Scott (Susie) Misner, Rebecca Misner, Marcie (Scott) Duncan, Beth (Bob) Mazur, Matt (Kelly) Misner; grandchildren, Samantha (Tate) Kalawart, Stephanie (Clay) Mandigo, Elliot Emelander, Ethan Emelander, Emma Foster, Olivia Foster, Katelyn Bartholomew, Clystia Hicks, Russel Hicks; brothers, Jim (Rose) Kopp and Gordy (Kathy) Kopp; sister, Sandra (Dennis) LaFontsee; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Ginger’s family will greet friends and family from 10am-12pm on November 2nd at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont.  Funeral services will follow the visitation at 12pm with graveside services at Sand Lake Cemetery immediately after. Following the cemetery services there will be a luncheon provided at the VFW Hall in Sand Lake.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to offer expressions of sympathy may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Foundation – Hospice, 25 Michigan St. Suite 4100 Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
