Gertrude Nyenhuis

Gertrude Nyenhuis, age 97, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; sisters, Jeanette and Nick Kunz (Henry Mackus), Agnes and Martin Riekse, and Christine and Harvey Veldhouse. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Thomas C. and Lorraine Nyenhuis, Dirk A. and Gretchen Nyenhuis, Kathy J. and Douglas L. Kool; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Gertrude will be lovingly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, with Rev. Donald Van Slyke officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-5 pm at the funeral home and from 10-10:45 am on Monday prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Jenison Christian School.
