Gertrude L. Brink, age 93, of Grandville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on April 4, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Brink; parents, Roy and Lida Wright; brothers, Charles Wright, Bill Wright, and Jack Wright; sisters, Verna Olthouse, Ruth Rounds, and Irene VanOeveren. She is survived by her children, Doug and Charlotte Brink, Yvonne Brink, Janie and Dan Van Dyke, Laurie and Robert Long; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanne and Rev. Warren Burgess; sister-in-law, Bertha Brink; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gertrude was a gentle, caring, elegant woman who loved her family and her Savior, Jesus Christ. She always took pride in being properly dressed whether she was going out in public or staying home. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and loved to entertain her friends and family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Reformed Church, 4457 36th St. SW, Grandville, with Rev. Rick Vander Wall officiating. Interment will be held at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW., and Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Holland Home.

So sorry in the loss of your mother Janie. She was such a classy lady - knowing her and your dad thru Henry & Margaret DeWitt. When on Anna Maria Island in Feb. we always walked on the long pier where we looked for your dad's name on the wood plank.
