Gerrietta Van Koevering

Gerrietta Ann Van Koevering, age 91, of Jenison, was called to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, May 17, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Curtis Van Koevering; infant daughter, Carol Ann Van Koevering; son-in-law, Ron Doornbos; six brothers and five sisters. She will be dearly missed by her children, Ken and Faye Van Koevering, Karen Doornbos, Cal and Pam Van Koevering, Sue and Dean Clement; grandchildren, Nate and Sarah Van Koevering, Mitch and Christy Van Koevering, Cadie and Reagan Berens, Cody and Rachael Van Koevering, Brooke and Kevin Schuur, Lindsey Uhlig, Nick and Hannah Doornbos, Jason and Betsy Van Koevering, Erin and John Deason, Cori and Derel Glashower, Shannon and Dustin Vander Wilp, Kelsey and Matt Gift, Lexie and Jamison Franzen, Tyce and Justine Clement; 44 great-grandchildren; five sisters and four brothers; and extended family and friends. Gerrietta was a hard-worker and had a quiet demeanor. She and Curtis enjoyed spending time at their cottage, spending winters in Florida, and camping with their family. Above all, her faith in God and her love of her family and extended family were foremost in her life. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Philip Vos officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, May 20, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Emmanuel Hospice.
