Remembering Geraldine Mulder
Geraldine Mulder, age 91, of Allendale, passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Geraldine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She devoted her life to caring for and serving her family, finding great joy in being a homemaker. She was a wonderful baker and cook and especially cherished the opportunity to care for her children and create a warm and loving home.
Geraldine had a servant’s heart and faithfully gave of her time through numerous volunteer opportunities at her church and through school. Much of her service involved children’s worship and Bible studies, where she loved sharing her faith and encouraging young hearts.
She enjoyed traveling with her family and treasured the many memories they made together throughout the country. Her greatest joys were found in the simple blessings of family, faith, and time spent together.
Geraldine was a faithful steward of the life God had given her. She loved reading the Bible and growing in her faith through personal devotion and prayer. Her life was a beautiful example of what it means to serve the Lord by faithfully serving one’s husband, family, church, and community. Her legacy of love and service will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Junella and Peter Roon, Clarina and Jerry Schreur, Art and Carrie Kiekover; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Thelma Kiekover, Louie Wallinga, Howard Hinken, Harry and Ethel Mulder, Gerald Mulder, and Joe Rotman.
Geraldine will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 69 years, Roger; children, Kathy and Dale Knoper, Tom and Amy Mulder, Mary and Cal Veldink; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Harvey Kiekover; sister, Joanne and Case Reimus; in-laws, Ethel Wallinga, Ruth Rotman, Bern and Vieve Mulder, and Karen Mulder; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at First Allendale Christian Reformed Church, 5734 Country View Dr., Allendale with Pastor Ken Kruithoff officiating. Burial will take place at Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 7 from 5-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St. and on Thursday from 10-11 am at church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Allendale Christian School or Love INC.
