Geraldine Kerkstra

Geraldine Laura Kerkstra, age 90, of Grand Rapids, was called to her heavenly home on Friday, April 17, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Peter, and son, James.  She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Karen Adams; son, Peter (Sharon) Kerkstra; grandchildren, Lindsey (Chris) Duchon, Justin (Heather) Adams, Christopher (Jamie) Kerkstra, and Angela Kerkstra; great grandchildren, Aubree, Holden, Kyler, Rachel.  Geraldine was a loving, caring, warm, strong woman who took care of her family and loved having them over for Sunday pot roast dinner.  She loved her God and passed her faith on to her family.  Geraldine was a hard working woman who worked in the manufacturing industry for over 30 years.  She enjoyed family time at Sandy Pines, taking bus trips to the casinos, and playing card games with the grandkids.  A celebration of Geraldine’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 21, with a visitation one hour prior to the service, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
