Geraldine “Gerry” Marie Kuiper, age 92, of Grand Rapids was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; sister, Patricia Harrison; and brother, Dick Hough.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Karyn and Chuck Porter, Rev. Kenneth and Karen Kuiper, James and Barbara Kuiper, Donald Kuiper, Bev and Randy Kamminga, Larry Kuiper, Ron and Deb Kuiper, Henry and Melissa Kuiper; 21 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, June Jones, Doug and Shirley Hough, sisters-in-law, Grace Kuiper and Gert Plowman; brother-in-law, Bob Williams; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.  Gerry was a loving, caring mother and grandmother.  She raised eight children to be righteous and Godly.  She was a faith-filled woman with a servant’s heart who considered the children she cared for to be her children as well.  Gerry taught her children to be independent and hard working.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Southwest Protestant Reformed Church, 4875 Ivanrest Ave SW, Grandville, with Rev. David Noorman and Prof. Ronald Cammenga officiating.  Interment Rosedale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 4 - 8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Adams Christian School.
