Geraldine “Gerri” Beehler

Geraldine “Gerri” Beehler, age 90, of Grandville, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 2, 2016.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Taylor.  She will be dearly missed by her husband of 65 years, Elden; children, Don and Andra Beehler, Anne Marie and Brett Everhart; granddaughters, Jess, Mary Anne, Sandi, and Valerie Freeborn, Carolyn, and Brooke Beehler; sister, Martha Mester; sister-in-law, Janell Low; and many nieces and nephews.  Gerri was proud of her Swedish heritage, being born in South Bend, IN, of Swedish immigrants, James and Anna Nygren.  She married Elden on September 2, 1950 in Woodland, IN.  She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly and enjoyed being with them more than anything else.  She liked making cookies and sharing them with family and friends.  Gerri was a faith-filled woman who loved and trusted Jesus as her savior.  Funeral services will be held on Friday 3 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Interment Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 2-3 at the funeral home prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Reach Beyond.
