Gerald Richter

Gerald Richter, age 74, of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 10, 2025, and is now hearing the words of his Savior, “well done, my good and faithful servant.” Jerry, as he was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Jerry loved spending time outdoors and landscaping yards. He also enjoyed time spent camping and boating.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Tom, and sisters-in-law, Marianne, and Deb. Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Barb; children, Brent and Ronna Richter, Julie and Matt Roche, Bradley and Krista Richter; grandchildren: Chelsea and Tyler, Cody, Cameron and Megan, Clayton, Camille, Eilley, Josh and Katie, and Ryley; seven great-grandchildren with two more expected; brothers, Jim Richter, Rusty and Pam Richter; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Donna Slagboom; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Wyoming Park Bible Fellowship, 2660 Porter St. SW, Wyoming, 49519 with Pastor John DuBois and Pastor Adam Richter officiating. Burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Friday, November 14, from 5-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Wyoming Park Bible Fellowship.
