Gerald “Jerry” Meekhof, age 82, of Jamestown was called to his heavenly home while surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Shirley; children, Kim Bartholomew, Sherry and Kurt Elders, Cindy Emmert; grandchildren, Jeff and Kaylie Dean, Cassey Elders and her longtime boyfriend Ed Kollar, Rachel Elders, Elizabeth Elders, Brittney Emmert and her fiancé Jacob Richert, Spc. Tyler Emmert; great-grandchildren, Kaliah and Tozer Dean; siblings, Janet and Chuck VanderMolen, Arlene Alles; siblings-in-law Henry “Butch” and Lois Potter, Howard and Peggy Potter; and many nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Meekhof; grandson, Austin Emmert; son-in-law, John Bartholomew; and brother-in-law, Jack Alles. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Jamestown Christian Reformed Church, 1653 Riley St. Hudsonville, MI with Pastor Chris Bouma officiating. Burial will take place at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Sunday, August 18 from 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Jamestown) 2371 Riley St. Hudsonville.
