Gerald “Jerry” Schippers

Gerald “Jerry” Schippers, age 73, of Wyoming, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Jerry was preceded in death by his twin daughters, Jodi and Toni; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jake Poortvliet, Ed and Jesse Natte, Barb and Mel Berkompas, Roger Natte. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Sharon; children, Timothy and Jennifer Schippers, Steven Schippers; grandchildren, Donovan, Taylor, Madison, Hunter Schippers; former daughter-in-law, Donda Noel; brothers, Jim and Jane Schippers, Ron and Lois Schippers; sister, Jan and Phil Shaffer; sisters-in-laws and brother-in-law, Mary Poortvliet; Wilma and Don Cronkright, Phyllis Wiers, Beverly Natte; many nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted daughter Patty Jackson (and her three daughters), and extended family. Funeral services will be held on Friday 11 am at Lee Street Christian Reformed Church, 1261 Lee St. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Kent Rottman officiating. Entombment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Lee Street Christian Reformed Church.
