Gerald Hicks

Gerald Wayne Hicks, age 85, of Wyoming, was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Marter, and son, Steve Hicks. He will be lovingly remembered by his children; Scott and Chris Hicks, Kerrie and Jeff Wilkerson, daughter-in-law, Helen Hicks, grandchildren; Chase Hicks, Madeline and Joe Pappas, Katie Hicks, Elizabeth and Matt Marko, Matt Hicks, four great grandchildren; many dear friends. Gerald was a hardworking man who spent his career at Upjohn Pharmacia in the accounting and HR departments. He loved being a grandpa and faithfully attended his grandchildren’s events. Jerry had a sweet tooth, especially for pastries. While living in Portage, he developed the West Portage Little League. He was also manager of the North American Senior Softball Champion Team. He enjoyed watching sports on TV and rooted for U of M. A private graveside service will be held for the family.
