Gerald (Gerhard) Knol, April 22, 1927 – June 26, 2018 went to be with his Lord and Savior. Gerald was preceded in death by his brother, Harrit; son, Jack; grandson, David. Gerald is survived by his wife of 66 years, Hilda (Antoon) Knol; sisters, Ge Berghuis, Mieke van Barneveld, Thea (Jan) van der Molen; sisters-in-law, Pieta Knol, Grace Antoon, Cory Hoekstra; his sons, Bernard (Becky) Knol, Harry (Faye) Knol, and Robert (Linda) Knol; grandchildren, Jared (Jenny) Knol, Rachel (John) Van Wylen, Jenn Henshaw, Jeff Knol, Jon (Tasha) Knol, Brandon Knol, Joshua Knol, Jacob (Rachel) Knol, Isaac Knol, Greg (Kari) Robinson, Michael (Candace) Redding; and thirteen great grand-children. Born in the Netherlands, he immigrated to the United States in 1951. Gerald spent his career supporting Christian Schools as a business manager for Christian Schools International (CSI). He also served as Director of CSI Employee Benefit Plans. His three great loves were the Lord, his wife, and his family. He also loved traveling, wood working, a good organ concert, and spending time at his cabin near Traverse City, MI. Visitation will be Friday, June 29 from 5-7 PM at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood. A memorial service will be held at Cutlerville East Christian Reformed Church, 501 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, on June 30, 11:00 AM. Rev. Roger Visker and Rev. Robert Knol officiating.
