​Gerald Edward Goeldel, age 80, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on June 9, 2021 after a 20 year struggle with Parkinsons. He was the son of Frank and Emily Goeldel. He was preceded in death by his parents. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 52 years, Patricia; his children, Jim and Stacy Goeldel and their son, Tyler; Mike and Jamie Lynn Goeldel and their son, James; Kathi and Ben Holleman and their children, Emily and Nathan; his brother, Tom and Margaret; his sister, Joan and Tom Troeger; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Jerry valiantly served his country in the Air National Guard where he serviced the cameras on the observation planes. He was a warm, kind, gentle, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed being a HAM Radio Operator (K8BPT) for many years. Jerry had a special devotion to Mary, Mother of God through the Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming with Fr. John Vallier presiding. Friends and relatives may meet the family on Saturday, June 19 at 9:00 am at Church. Memorial contributions can be made to Faith Hospice.
