SMITH - Mrs. Geraldine A. "Jeri" Smith aged 65 passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 surrounded by her family after a courageous fight with COPD. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Dorothy Chambers; son, Jamie Geegh; son-in-law, Pat Stephens; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Donna Smith; brother-in-law, Jerry Cole; sister-in-law, Georgia Bennett. Surviving are her husband of 19 years, Butch; children, Jody Stephens, Myndi Jo Smith, Tim Smith; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Curtis (Jane) Chambers, Jeff Chambers, Richard (Pam) Chambers; sisters, Dawn (Tom) Bialochowski, Nancy Wartella, Betsy (Craig) Hole; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Brian (Dee) Smith, Bonnie (Larry) Sims, Cathi Cole, Jodi (Pat) McNamara, Bob Bennett; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends including her best friend, Kathy Witte. Her family would like to thank the Doctor's and nurses at Spectrum Health 5th Floor and Transplant Team for their care and support. Memorial services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Belmont, 1601 Post Dr. Her family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 till the time of the service on Wednesday.
