Geraine Schmuker

Geraine Schmuker, age 76, of Wayland, formerly of Byron Center, went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 20, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Margaret Batey, and her brother, Richard Batey.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years, Gordon Schmuker; children, Amy and Mike Hielkema, Lori and Jim Hotary, Lisa and Kevin Carlson, Beth and Paul Steffen, Matt and Erin Schmuker; grandchildren, Haleigh, Evan, Sydney, Gabriel, Connor, Eli, Myles, Colin, Reid, Emma; siblings, Marilyn and Ernie Volk, Howard Batey Jr., LuAnn and Gary Robinson, Barbara Batey. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming.  Inurnment Resurrection Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Wyoming) 4031 Clyde Park SW.  The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Holland. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
