BENNETT - Mrs. Georgia B. Bennett (Smith) aged 61 went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 21, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Donna Smith; mother-in-law, Hazel "Louise" Bennett; and brother-in-law, Gerald Cole. Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Robert; children, Daniel (Britney) Bennett, Ryan (Elizabeth) Bennett, Amy (David) George; grandchildren, Alexis, Connor, Pierce, Parker, Paxx, Patton, Palmer and Savannah; sisters and brothers, Bonnie (Larry) Sims, Catherine "Cathi" Cole, Dennis "Butch" (Jeri) Smith, Jodi (Pat) McNamara, Brian (Dee) Smith; aunt, Barbara (Jerry) Fishburn; mother-in-law, Jean Bennett; many nieces, nephews and extended family. Georgia loved to travel with Bob during their years in the Military, living in Germany traveling throughout Europe and enjoyed living in many states. She was Club Manager at All Sr. NCO Clubs at Ft. Knox, active in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and her children's school activities. Georgia was a very generous, loving person to her children, grandchildren and everyone she met. But her favorite passion was shopping, especially with her sisters. Funeral services will be held 10:30AM Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE. Her family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday from 6 to 8PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
