George Schweitzer

Mr. George G. Schweitzer, age 93 went to be with his Lord, on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. George was preceded by his parents and three sisters, Geraldine Platte, JoAnn Maginot, and Barbara Longnecker and his brother, Vincent Sr. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Marie Schweitzer; their daughters, Kathryn (Paul) Yancey, Michele (John) Robinson, Debra Schweitzer and Nancy (Dale) Magoon, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, his brother, John Schweitzer, his sisters, Mary Lou Ozolins and Mildred Muczynski. George was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 47 in Comstock Park. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 5, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Rd, Comstock Park with Fr. Richard Host officiating. George's family will greet relatives and friends at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Sunday with prayers of the Rosary recited at 7:30 pm and an hour prior to mass at church on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made in George's name to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or Great Lakes Caring Hospice or Yorkshire/Stonebridge Manors Employee Fund.
