Geneva “Nief” Kleinjans, age 91, of Jenison, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and siblings, Orman and Catherine Van Haitsma, and Lenora Van Haitsma. Nief will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kris and Arie Griffioen, Kim and Dave Dyk, Tom and Pam Kleinjans; six grandchildren: Amber Griffioen and Daniel Schumacher, Teresa and Ben DeJong, Travis and Amber Dyk, Jessica and Jake Hanke, Lindsay and Dylan Mulder, Zach and Toscanee Kleinjans; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger and Jean Van Haitsma; sister-in-law, Bea and Morrie DeVries; brother-in-law, Fred Visser; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Jim Evenhouse officiating. Burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday from 10-11 am at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Sunset Legacy Foundation or Faith Hospice.
