Genella Versluis

Genella Versluis, nee Mieras, 92, of Belmont, MI, went to be with Jesus on August 21, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul and her siblings Edith Mieras, Helen Billger, and James Mieras. She is survived by her son Paul III (Joy) and daughter Maribeth Versluis; grandchildren, Anna (Ben Penner) Versluis, Bethany (Peter) Fairfield, Sara Versluis, Rachel (Neil Detweiler) Versluis, Paul Versluis IV, and Tasha Malia Torrey; great grandchildren Lucia, Grace, Eva, Elisabeth, James, Esau, Jude, Owen, and Emrys. She and her husband served in Michigan, Alaska, India, Hawaii, and South Carolina with Baptist-Mid Missions for over 50 years. A service to celebrate Genella's life will be held Saturday, August 27 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr NE, Belmont, MI. Relatives and friends may meet the family at 10:30 AM. Followed by the service at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions to her memory may be made to Paul Versluis Partnership Ministries or Bibles International.
