Gene Russell Wilson, Jr.

Gene Russell Wilson, Jr., age 59, passed away suddenly on April 24, 2019 at his parents home. He was born April 26, 1960 in Marshall, the son of Gene R. Wilson, Sr. and Carol L. Wilson. He was in the army and received an honorable discharge. Gene was a licensed electrician and he belonged to the IBEW (Electrical Union). Before becoming an electrician, he drove a semi-truck coast to coast. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors. He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Burton of Florida; a son, Greg Wilson, also of Florida; two grandchildren, Matthew and Connor of Florida; his parents of Caledonia and a sister, Teresa M. Hughes of Middleville. A memorial service and luncheon will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thornapple Valley Church, 27505 S. M-43, Hastings.
