Gayle Jones

Gayle T. Jones, age 88, of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 27, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Thomas Jones; son, Mark Jones. Gayle lived in the Galewood area of Wyoming and served lunches for 22 years at Godfrey-Lee School. Gayle was a very generous and compassionate person. Most importantly, she was a woman of faith and deeply cared for and loved her family. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mary and Robert Vasquez, Billie and Susan Jones, Nenette DeRoo, Theresa and John Angstman; 10 grandchildren and their spouses; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Audrey and Jim Johnson; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, at Holy Name of Jesus Parish,1048 Chicago Drive SW, Wyoming with Fr. Stephen Dudek presiding. Burial Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday, August 1, from  6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW., with a vigil service at 8 p.m. An additional visitation will be held on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Holy Name of Jesus Parish.
