Howerzyl, Gatha HOWERZYL: Gatha (DeHaan) Howerzyl, age 95, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 21, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; her son, Walter; grandson, Justin Klawiter. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ted and Annette Howerzyl, Sherry and Jerry Brinks, Elaine and Arlyn Kooiman, Phyllis and Mark Klawiter; grandchildren, Darla and Todd Sytsma, Dawn and Dean Remington, Daniel and Joana Howerzyl, Doug Howerzyl, Jim and Kim Brinks, Patti and Jerry Nelson, Joshua Kooiman, Jeremiah and April Kooiman, Jon Kooiman, Jessica Kooiman, Alex Klawiter, Ross and Megan Klawiter, Stacy and John Klein; 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday at Bethel United Reformed Church, 2025 Baldwin, Jenison, with Rev. Jason Tuinstra officiating. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive. Memorial contributions may be made to The Bible League.
