Gary Steensma, age 76, of Georgetown Township, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Gary was a kind and loving husband, dad, and grandpa who dearly loved his family. He had a 55-year career in the moving industry in West Michigan and spent the past 29 years as the Vice President of Corrigan Moving Systems. Over the years, he enjoyed hunting, his ’58 Chevy, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Lisa Marie; parents, Peter and Alice Steensma; and younger brother, Ron Steensma. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Vicki; children, Mike and Lauri Steensma, Bryan and Yvonne Steensma, Jennifer and Jon Kuyt; grandchildren, Chase Steensma, Cari Steensma, Conner Steensma, Drew Steensma, Alaynna Steensma, David Kuyt, and Kristianna Kuyt; brother and sister-in-law, Harv and Sheryl Steensma; sister-in-law, Beverly Strait, brother-in-law, Ed Cory; several loving nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. A service to celebrate Gary’s life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. at The Pinnacle Center, 3330 Highland Dr., Hudsonville, MI 49426. A private family graveside service was held at Georgetown Township Cemetery.
