Gary See, age 82 of Wyoming, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. Gary was the most loving, caring, honest, and generous family man. He was preceded in death by his grandson and best buddy, Timmy, his brother, Phil, and his sister, Jeanie. Gary will be greatly missed by his wife of 57 years, Janice; his sons, Gary II (Sharon) See, Lester (Arin) See, and Tim (Denise) See; grandchildren, Jamie (Ryan) Headworth, Emily (Nathan) Burns, Lauren (Bryan) Jacques, Kaylea See, and Rachel See; great-grandchildren, Ema, Addisyn, Avery, Luke, Aria, and Georgia; brother, David (Geraldine) See; brother-in-law, Jerry (Gail) Washburn; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Gary retired from General Motors after 29 years working in the experimental tool room, where he was granted a patent in 1997. He proudly served in the US Army, and he volunteered for Senior Meals of Wyoming after retirement. He was a life-long fan of the Detroit Lions, always wanting to “bet a buck” on his team and claiming it was “their year”. He loved golfing with his sons and scouting cars with his grandson at auctions all over town. In honoring his wishes, his body was donated to the Michigan State University Medical School. There will be a time of visitation with his family this Monday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Timmy See Memorial Scholarship at Wyoming Public Schools.
