Gary Roskam, age 82, of Jenison, was called to his heavenly home on Friday, April 29, 2022, and entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and is now reunited with his wife, Janet who preceded him. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Rena Roskam; brother, Peter Roskam; and great-grandson, Eli Ayala. Gary was born in 1939 in Nijemirdum, Friesland, The Netherlands, before immigrating to the United States in 1948. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Richard and Carol Roskam, Nancy and Mark Hill, Ronald Roskam, Kevin and Char Roskam; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Grace and John Vander Molen; sisters–in-law and brothers-in-law, Tetsje Hoekstra, Getsje Noordzij, Atsje and Lammert Zwaagstra, Harm and Ittie Klijnsma; Johannes and Netty Van Maldegem, Tedman Dykstra. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday at Baldwin St. Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin St., Jenison with Rev. Don Van Slyke officiating. Burial Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. and also from 10-10:45 am prior to the service at church on Tuesday. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Legacy Foundation or Gideons International.
