He will be lovingly remembered by his children: David (Patricia) Rinard, Michael (Cynthia) Rinard, Lori Huver; grandchildren: Megan, Gena, Christopher, Sean, Katherine, Lyndsay, Alyson; 5 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Gary was a hardworking, dedicated employee of General Motors for 33 years in the tool and die trade. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. There was nothing that Gary couldn’t fix, and he loved working with his tools and teaching the kids how to repair things. Gary worked on many projects including building houses, garages, cottages and even a roll top desk. He enjoyed good food and loved planning and searching for the right ingredients for his meals. For Gary, family was number one. He enjoyed family gatherings and traveling with Sharon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday 11 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW with Fr. John Vallier presiding. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Marine Corps League or the American Heart Association.
