Gary Lee Kornoely, age 71, of Wyoming, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Gary graduated from Godwin High School in 1971, where he met his sweetheart, Sue. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and later, woodworking. He retired after almost 40 years from Steelcase. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, including all the sporting events for the grandkids. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Sue; children: Matthew (Jen Bray) Kornoely, Kelly (Matt) Kuehn, Todd (Michelle Revard-Jackson) Kornoely; grandchildren: Taylor (fiancée, Karah Smith), Mikayla, Gavin, Cohen, Peyton, Kendall, Ryan, Oakley; mother, Lila Kornoely; sister and brother: Diane Moore, Greg (Sue) Kornoely; brother-in-law James (Margaret) Schreiner; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey; sister, Patty (Greg) Knight; brother-in-law, Robert Moore. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Don VanSlyke officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
