Garett “Getts” Jansma

Garett “Getts” T. Jansma, age 92, of Jenison, went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 30, 2018. Getts was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ellamae (Korhorn) Jansma and his five siblings. He is survived by his children, Judy and Dave Maring, Tom and Rainelle Jansma, Karen and Steve Gerrits, Kim and Bill Hoekstra; his grandchildren, Brian and Alyssa Maring, Andrea and Scott Balahoski, TJ Jansma, Holly Jansma, Kaity and Colin Cooper, Tyce and Amanda Gerrits, and Bre and Ryan McElheny; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marianne Korhorn; and many nieces and nephews. Garett was a man of strong faith, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandpa “Poppie”.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Hudsonville Protestant Reformed Church, 5101 Beech Tree, Hudsonville, with Rev. Garrett Eriks officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and also on Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Adams Christian School or Faith Hospice. .
