Huizinga, Fredrick "Fred" J. Fredrick “Fred” J. Huizinga, age 87, of Jenison, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 13, 2013.   He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Huizinga and daughter, Ruth Burgess.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Alice Huizinga; children, Richard and Theresa Huizinga, Jack and Melissa Huizinga, Carol Huizinga, Janis and Daryle Kuiper, Larry Burgess; 21 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Calvin and Joanne Huizinga, David Huizinga, Alvin Huizinga, Robert and Linda Huizinga, James and Barbara Huizinga, Judith and Cornelius DeKorne; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday 11am at Hope Protestant Reformed Church, 1580 Ferndale SW, Walker with Prof. Herman Hanko officiating.  Interment Rosedale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr.   In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hope Protestant Reformed Christian School.
