Frederick Syswerda

SYSWERDA - Frederick Syswerda aged 93, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 and was gathered to his God and his people. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Hazel (Shultz) Syswerda. His sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice (Ben) Handlogten, Edith (Ernest) Kruisenga; his brother and sister-in-law, Gerald (Louise) Syswerda; and two precious grandsons, Paul and Caleb. He is survived by his children, Kathy (Gary) Douma, Beth (David) Butterbaugh, Fred (Valerie) Syswerda, Mark (Linda) Syswerda; his 17 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; many dear nieces and nephews. Fred was a charter member of Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, which he loved and served faithfully. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Immanuel CRC, 33 Elwell St. SW. The family will greet relatives and friends, Friday 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave., Wyoming and one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.
