Frederick Richard Swoveland

Frederick Richard Swoveland, age 80, of Caledonia, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, and went to his heavenly home. Fred retired from Steelcase after many years. He had a great sense of humor, and he loved to garden and feed the birds and wildlife on his property. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and dog, Odie. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Jerone; sons: Richard Swoveland, John Swoveland; grandson, Vincent Swoveland; brother, David Swoveland; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Josephine Johnson, Rose Kidder, Angelo DiPiazza, Mike (Jeanette) DiPiazza, Joe (Mary) DiPiazza, John (Joan) DiPiazza; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters: Freda Swoveland, Nell Petersen, Dorothy VanCamp, Alana Keenan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022 at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier presiding. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
