Frank Vigh

Vigh - Frank Vigh age 77, Born in Budapest Hungary on Feb. 23, 1943 and passed away with his loving wife and 3 children by his side on Saturday, June 6, 2020. Frank arrived in the United States as a child with his family and resided in the Grand Rapids area for the rest of his life. He retired from a career at Baker Furniture in 2006. He also served his country in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Julius Vigh Sr. and Margaret Vigh; his brother, PFC Alexander J. Vigh USMC. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon Vigh and his children, Allen (Danielle) Vigh, Jason (Julie Jager) Vigh, and Michelle (Randy Maynard) Vigh. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Kayleigh Vigh, Ashleigh Vigh, Beckett Vigh, Brenna Vigh, and Tyler (Ricky) Hartwick and 5 siblings, Julius (Zita) Vigh Jr., Margaret (Adrian) VanderStarre, Les (Sheila) Vigh, Elizabeth Polk, and Joan Kathy Vigh, brother-in-laws James C. Norden and David Norden, as well as many nieces and nephews. Frank leaves a legacy of undying devotion to his family and instilled a strong work ethic in his children. Even as his health faltered, his willingness to do anything for his kids and grandkids remained steadfast. Funeral services will be held 12:30PM Thursday, June 11 at Faith Reformed Church, 618 32nd St SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Bruce Osbeck officiating. Frank's family will greet relatives and friends from 5:00PM - 8:00PM Wednesday at Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Wyoming, 3131 S. Division Ave. Wyoming and one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday. Memorial contributions can be made to Faith Reformed Church or Grand Rapids Chapter of the American Heart Assoc.
