I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Amy Hiltunen

Courtney, Erin and Chris, I am so saddened to hear about the sudden loss of Mr. Cummings. Believe it or not, I talked to him in your old driveway just a few months ago, after more than 10 years. In our brief conversation, you should know that he was so proud of his girls and his family. He beamed with pride when talking about all of you. This is such a difficult and painful time. Please be strong and remember the good memories. He was a very good man and someone I've respected since meeting him. I still think so fondly of all of you and you are often in my thoughts. Have solace knowing that Nicki's loving soul is waiting with open arms. Mike Moldal

Erin, Courtney and Chris, My heart goes out to all of you at the loss of Frank. He was a wonderful man. I remember the old days when Frank, Norm and Owen took down that huge barn that we used to build our house on Morningside. Lots of great memories. We are praying for you during this very difficult time. Feel our love and God's love surrounding you. Linda and Lou Rizzolo

To his family and friends we are sorry for your loss. We want to thank Frank for his years of sacrifice to our community and the East Kentwood Varsity Hockey Team. The VanValkenburgs

Dear Courtney & Erin: We have lost a great man of integrity and friend. Your Dad was, and always will be, a part of the Kentwood Fire Department. He was our biggest cheerleader and for that we are grateful. He visited us often and always showed a genuine interest, both in our personal circumstances and professional. We especially enjoyed it when he would bring Cam for a visit or when he would share the latest pictures of his grandchildren. He always spoke often of you and your beautiful families, and most recently gave us updates on how swim lessons were progressing this summer. You are in our thoughts and prayers and know that he will be sorely missed. Lisa Kentwood Fire Dept. Anonymous

Erin & Courtney...I am so sorry for your loss...Your dad was a great man and will be missed by all! I used to babysit you girls when you lived on 59th street!!! I remember the great pig roasts on 59th street for the 4th of July! I have a lot of very fond memories of your dad! Wendy Youness

Dear Family, I was saddened to read of your loss and I’d like to extend my deepest sympathy for your dear father Frank Cummings. I can only imagine the pain you must feel. I pray that you can find hope in the Bible: 1) A loving God would never take our loved ones: (James 1:13) “With evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.” 2) God will comfort you: (Psalm 34:18) “Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; And those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” 3) Jesus Christ, thru God’s Kingdom, gives us a wonderful hope, namely living in a paradise on earth and seeing the resurrection of our dead loved ones. (Luke 23:43; John 5:28, 29) ~ Hope this comforts you like it has my family during loss. Mrs. Houston

to the family... You are in my prayers. I know this is hard - but God will see you thru this difficult journey. Allow Him to comfort and hold you. Sounds like your Dad was an amazing man! Pamela Essenburg
